Hi, our names are Cindy and Barb. We have worked together as teachers since 1989! (That makes us sound old) Our children grew up together and their children are growing up together.
We have over 50 years of teaching experience between us, from pre-k through 5th grade and from Central Florida to Southern Georgia. We taught a multi-aged classroom, which consisted of 8 kindergartners, 8 first graders, and 8 second graders. Each year the second graders would graduate and the following year we would have 8 new kindergartners join us. This was a great way to learn how to differentiate across the grade levels and curriculum. Even if we were not ready to learn how to differentiate.
We have presented at the Florida Educators Technology Conference, the National Association for the Education of Young Children Conference, and both the Florida and International Reading Conferences, as well as district and state workshops.
Now, here we are, started out with no Internet when we started teaching to blogging and teaching others about technology. We've come a long ways!
